“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
For Christians, study and meditation upon the sacred Scriptures is indispensable for faithfully persevering with wisdom in this world. At St. Luke’s Church, we have Bible studies twice per week, each studying a different book of the Bible or an important topic related to it. We encourage lively participation and discussion from all attendees. Regardless of your background, Biblical understanding, or current church involvement, we invite you to come and join us for a fun and informative time in God’s Word.
Prayer and Healing
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. (James 5:14-15)
The Gospel teaches us that our Heavenly Father cares for our entire being, both body and soul. He has not only forgiven our sins, but has also shown us what awaits for us in His eternal kingdom through the Resurrection. At St. Luke’s Church, it is our mission also to minister to the entire person and one of our central ministries for this is our prayer and healing services. Every Sunday, following each of our services, prayer ministers are available at the back of the church to pray with you for any needs you may have for yourself or others. On the first Saturday of every month at 12:30 PM, the healing ministry will offer soaking prayers with you, and for you, and any others who are in need. All who are interested are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
Having been blessed with God’s indescribably gift of free salvation in Jesus Christ, it is both our duty and delight to spread His blessings to others. It is our mission at St. Luke’s to be a testimony to our surrounding area on the love and compassion of our Savior. We have an annual presence at the Amherst Fourth of July parade and are active in local charities such as New Life Home, SHARE Outreach, and Christian Education.
